ТОК received a grant from the Potanin Foundation for a school museum development

ТОК has been announced one of the grantees of the contest ​"Changing Museum in a Changing World" annually held by the Potanin Foundation.​ For the competition we proposed the project "The School Museum: Creating History Together", which will be realized on the premises of the school No53 in St. Petersburg, our long-term partner in the project 'Design Platform'. 

In 2014, 319 regional, federal and municipal Russian museums applied for participation in the contest. 41 projects from 25 regions of Russia were selected for the context finale and 16 projects were announced the winners and received funding. 

A school museum has been awarded a grant from the Foundation for the first time since the competition was first held in 2004. We are excited about the opportunity to bring innovations into a traditional exposition of a school museum of local history in the school No53 and plan to build a new exposition using participatory principles. The museum will be much more open, accessible and interesting for the kids, their parents, teachers and the local community who will be invited to participate in creating the new exposition that will occupy alternative school spaces. We hope that the project will be interesting and will be used by other school and local history museums in Russia.
