Second exhibition of public art Critical Mass will take place in St Petersburg

From 23 May to 23 June 2013 the Creative Association of Curators TOK holds its second international exhibition of public art " Critical Mass " as part of its international art project .
 
This time the exhibition will be held in the Frunzenskiy district of St. Petersburg, and will be closely linked with the history, everyday life, identity and unique areas of which we have been told by the local residents during extensive sociological research.
 
One of the ideas of the exhibition is to interact  with the local community and engage people living in Kupchino into  the creative process, so many projects  of the " Critical Mass 2013 is the result of joint actions of artists and residents of the Frunzenskiy district .
 
For the " Critical Mass 2013 " TOK has gathered a team of artists well known in the field of public art - the exhibition will feature Joanna Raikovwska (Polan ), Hans Rozenstroem (Finland ), Gareth Kennedy (Ireland) , Stas Bags  (Russia),  Annika Eriksson (Sweden), Yegor Shmonin  and Alexey Kubasov (Russia).
 
This year, there are venues of the exhibition include not only parks like last year but a large variety of public spaces including an old observatory, two libraries , a cinema theater, a vocational school and other places in Kupchino .
 
The exhibition will be accompanied by a great educational program and a series of guided tours at the exhibition and the area of Kupchino im general.
 
The opening of the exhibition will take place on 23 May at 17.30 in the square in front of the administration of the Frunzenskiy district (Prazhskaya str,  46) .
